Jay Coss is a IFBB PRO Classic Physique Bodybuilder! He is 27 years old. Jay started working out in 2011 and has developed a love for bodybuilding since 2014. It all started he was bored in college, he found fitness as an a hobby, yet it all led him to where he is now. Jay currently owns a supplement store, Total Nutrition which he started in 2017. Jay comes from a very large and close nit family. He has one older sister, about 30 cousins and 10 aunts and uncles.

I started fitness because I was bored in college, I had no idea that it would turn into what it has today.
What sets you apart from other athletes?
The thing that sets me apart from other athletes is my personality. I speak my mind and I am usually cracking the most jokes.
How would your best friend describe you?
My best friend would probably describe me as stubborn, motivated and a comedian.
What are your personal long term and short term goals?
I would have to say my long term goals would be to turn fitness into a career, short term would be to make it to the Olympia in Classic Physique Bodybuilding.
Who inspires you and why?
I would have to say that my father inspires me the most. He has always been the person to motivate me the most.
What is your favourite Type of workout?
I really enjoy lifting heavy, the current term for it now is "Power bodybuilding". It is a combination of heavy lifting with a lot of volume.
What keeps you going on the hard days?
Simply just being motivated, the fact that without any action nothing gets done. So even on hard days there is work to be done.
What are your favourite times to use your Gripped Headphones?
I would say my favorite time is during fasted cardio in the mornings. Mostly because without them I wouldn't be able to zone out and watch netflix and time would drag by.
What has been your favourite moment throughout your fitness journey?
Thus far by most highlighted moment has been winning my IFBB pro card in 2017.
What’s a random fact that many people wouldn’t know about you?
A random fact about me is I am an introvert at heart but have managed to become more outgoing.
What has been your biggest challenge through your fitness journey, and how did you overcome it?
The biggest challenge was 2015 when I injured my back on the leg press. It took 6 months to heal which wasn't the worst part, the worst part was trying to start all over. It was very easy to lose motivation at that point.
What advice would you pass on to someone in their own fitness journey?
My biggest piece of advice would be not to compare your journey or progress to others.
What workout routine as worked best for you?
Push, Pull, Legs has been my favorite for a very long time.
What does a typical day of eating look like for you?
Typically I eat oats and egg whites for breakfast, Meals 2-4 are ground turkey and rice and meal 5 is usually egg whites also.
What's your favorite place to eat?
Cheesecake Factory would be my favorite place to eat by far!

What are your hobbies and interests outside of fitness?
My only hobby outside of fitness is working on vehicles with my dad.
What is your favourite exercise to perform and why?
Dead lifts are my favorite, it is simply the most exciting.
How many pairs of shoes you own?
I own at least 20 pair of shoes.
If you could only have one meal the rest of your life what would it be?
Cereal and Milk
What type of music do you listen to?
Rap, Country, Rock, Pop, R&B, and Blues Guitar.
Are there any foods you don't enjoy that you force yourself to consume?
There are none that I force myself to consume but I hate BACON! All types.
What is the worst injury you have ever had?
My back injury. I have been blessed to not have any others.
