Gripped Tribe member Jeff Chan is an absolute weapon when it comes to Muay Thai and mixed martial arts. He has a passion in demonstrating tactics he uses in his own sparring and today showcases living legend Bruce Lee and how he incorporates some of his tactics in his own MMA training.

But first let’s get to know Jeff a little more. Jeff Chan started training Muay Thai when he was 15 years old. It was his coach at the time that told him that he was very talented, and that inspired him to start competing and he competed in his first fight.  Jeff then accumulated an amateur record of approximately 24 wins and 2 losses. He then went to the next level where he competed professionally in MMA and took his training to Thailand.

During all this time, I was also studying and obtained a law enforcement career. After I returned to Canada, several life events happened, one of them being the passing of my father, and I decided life is too short and that I would pursue my Jeff’s passion is to produce quality MMA content for people to access from all over the world!

In this video Jeff goes over 5 of his favourite tactics used by Bruce Lee. He will also show you the tactics used in his MMA Sparring. Jeff notes that unlike his usual Martial Arts tutorials, he has  never been formally trained in Jeet Kune Do, the martial art mastered by Bruce Lee.

The tactics demonstrated in the video are as follows:

Tactic 1 - Flick Punch or Back Fist

Tactic 2 - Flick Punch - Liver Punch

Tactic 3 - Flick Punch - Side Kick

Tactic 4 - Shuffle Lead Leg Snap Kick

Tactic 5 - Fake Flick Punch - Lead Hook Punch
